In the large majority of cases, they didn't. They needed rollers, a track, a seal, and someone willing to do the smaller job.
That's the company we built. A full patio door replacement is a significant expense and a day of disruption. A roller and track repair is a couple of hours and a fraction of the cost, and on a sound frame it restores the door completely. We'd rather do the honest job and earn the next call than sell the big one once.
