A door is a system, and usually only one part of it has failed

Doors get replaced far more often than they need to be. A door that drags, won't latch, or has dropped in its frame is almost always a hardware problem — rollers, hinges, a strike plate, a track, a sagging frame — not a door problem. The slab or panel itself is typically the last thing to fail.

We diagnose the system, fix the part that gave out, and leave you with a door that works the way it did when it was new. When a door genuinely is past saving, we say so plainly and show you why.

What we repair

Doors we work on

Sliding and patio doors are our specialty. We repair most other residential door types as well.

Sliding glass & patio doors

Our core work. Rollers, tracks, glass, alignment, locks and seals on single-slide, bypass, stacking and multi-slide doors. See roller and track repair.

Sliding screen doors

Rescreening, new frames built to size, roller and latch replacement. Pet-resistant mesh available.

Arcadia doors

The aluminum-framed sliders in a huge share of Arizona homes built through the 70s, 80s and 90s. Parts are often discontinued, and we carry or fabricate what's needed.

Hinged patio & French doors

Sagging panels, doors that won't latch, warped weatherstrip, worn hinges and misaligned strikes.

Entry & exterior doors

Alignment, hinge repair, strike and jamb repair, weatherstripping, threshold adjustment, lock and deadbolt work.

Closet, bypass & bifold doors

Off-track doors, broken guides and pivots, worn top rollers, doors that jam or won't stay closed.

Pocket doors

Doors that jump the track, drag in the pocket, or won't roll — repaired without tearing out the wall wherever possible.

Pet doors

Installation in glass or panel, plus flap, frame and lock repair on existing units.

Small commercial doors

Storefront sliders, office and suite doors, closers and hardware.

Common problems

What usually brings people to us

  • The door drags, scrapes, or needs a shove to move
  • It's dropped in the frame and no longer sits square
  • It won't latch, or the lock and strike no longer line up
  • It jumped its track or won't stay on it
  • The glass is cracked, chipped, or fogged between panes
  • Daylight, dust or drafts come through when it's shut
  • Hinges squeal, sag, or have pulled out of the jamb
  • A screen door sags, tears, or falls out of the opening
  • The door swings open or closed on its own
Local experience

Why Arizona is hard on doors

Four conditions do most of the damage here, and none of them mean you need a new door.

Frames move

Arizona soil and slab movement, combined with extreme thermal cycling, shift door frames out of square over years. That's why a door that hung perfectly for a decade suddenly drags on one corner. The fix is usually adjustment and hardware, not a new door.

Everything expands

Aluminum and vinyl frames grow and shrink daily through the summer. Fasteners loosen, alignment drifts, and gaps open where seals used to sit.

Dust gets into everything

Tracks, rollers, hinges, latches and closers all collect fine grit that turns abrasive and accelerates wear.

A door that won't lock is a security problem

Sliding doors in particular are a common entry point, and a misaligned latch or a worn foot bolt is something we treat as urgent. We answer the phone 24/7 for exactly this reason.

Repair or replace

Which one you actually need

Repair

When the frame is sound, the panel is intact, and the failure is hardware, alignment, glass or seals. This covers the large majority of the doors we see.

Replace

When the frame is corroded or rotted through, the panel is delaminated or badly warped, or the door is a discontinued system with no available parts and multiple failed components at once.

We quote both on site when it's a genuine question, and let you choose.

FAQ

Door repair questions

What kinds of doors do you repair?

Sliding glass and patio doors are our specialty, and we also work on screen, arcadia, French, hinged patio, entry, closet, bifold, pocket and pet doors.

My door came off the track. Can I just lift it back on?

We'd rather you didn't. Sliding panels are heavy and awkward, and forcing one back can chip the track, crack the glass, or injure you. It also doesn't address why it came off, which is nearly always failed rollers.

Can you fix a door that won't lock?

Yes, and it's one of the most common calls we get. Usually the door has shifted and the latch no longer meets the strike, which is an alignment repair rather than a new lock.

Do you repair the door frame as well as the door?

Where the frame is repairable, yes — strike and jamb repair, hinge reinforcement, threshold adjustment and re-squaring.

How long does a door repair take?

Most hardware, roller and alignment jobs run one to three hours. Glass and custom screens require a return visit once material is cut.

Do you do same-day work?

We answer the phone 24 hours a day and prioritise doors that won't lock or close, because an unsecured door is a security problem. Where the schedule allows we get out the same day; where it doesn't, we secure the door first and complete the repair on the next visit.

Do you serve my city?

We serve all of Arizona, from the Phoenix metro and Tucson to Flagstaff, Prescott, Yuma and every community in between.
